JOANA GRANERO SANCHEZ Director
Founder and director of Tristana Media, Joana was born in Tarragona. After graduating in Law from the University of Barcelona she spent a couple of years in Italy and then moved to London, where she worked in publishing and got a MSc in Political and Social Theory from Birkbeck College. Out of a passion for cinema she created the London Spanish Film Festival in 2005, an event that was to fill a gap in London's cultural panorama by bringing contemporary Spanish cinema in a well-defined context. In 2008 the Ambassador of Spain in London awarded her with the civil merit medal (Orden de Isabel la Católica) in recognition of her work with Spanish cinema. She also works as an independent curator and producer.

NOEMI CUETOS FERNANDEZ Press Relations
Born in Vitoria, 1983, Noemi graduated in Journalism & Audiovisual Communication from the University of Navarra, with an intercalary semester studying at the University of Sheffield. She has worked at various Spanish newspapers, in radio, a Non Governmental Organisation, a film distribution company, on a movie as a production coordinator and as a press officer at several international film festivals (San Sebastian, Punto de Vista, London Latin American Film Festival, Edinburgh International Film Festival, The Times BFI London Film Festival, Doha Tribeca Film Festival). |

BEA SEGURA Public Relations
Born in Barcelona, Bea studied Dramatic Arts in the Institute of Theatre in Barcelona University. After an MA in Drama in HB Studio, New York, Bea started her acting career in Theatre (Molière, Shakespeare, Chekhov, Lope de Vega etc...), Television (Hospital Central, Los Serrano, Al Salir de Clase etc..) and Film (Salvador, Hierro). Bea is now sharing her time between Spain, where she continues with her acting career, and London. |

MARIA UGARTE GALIANA Basque Window
Born in San Sebastián, Maria graduated in Journalism at the Complutense University of Madrid. She completed internships at the press office of San Sebastian International Film Festival and she has collaborated in several film festivals (LSFF, IN-EDIT, EEFF). In 2009, Maria studied a Master in Documentary and Society at ESCAC in Barcelona, and she was responsible for the direction of sound and production in the short documentary for the master called Pecho a las balas. In 2010 she moved to London and she has been working with London Spanish Film Festival since then. |

KAREN McDONALD Graphic Designer
Born in Melbourne, Australia, Karen has lived in London since 1993. Following a design background culminating in employment as Design Manager for a London based publishing company, she now runs Kargan Media, a graphic design company, delivering both print and online projects. Kargan Media has also worked on several digital arts and media projects. She has been involved since the beginning with Tristana Media and the London Spanish Film Festival. |

PABLO GOIKOETXEA PEREZ Photographer
Born in Vigo (Spain) Pablo has lived in London since 2002, where he studied Photography and Professional Imaging at Thames Valley University (BA hons). He has been involved with the festival since 2007 when he started to develop a series of editorial portraits of all the guests that
have attended the projections and talks. |

PABLO ROMERO FRESCO Interpreter
Pablo is a Senior Lecturer in Film Translation at Roehampton University, where he teaches Interpreting, Dubbing and Subtitling. He also teaches at the MA on Audiovisual Translation at Universidad Autònoma de Barcelona. He has been interpreting for the London Spanish Film Festival since 2009. He is the author of Subtitling through Speech Recognition: Respeaking (St Jerome) and a member of the research group Transmedia Catalonia, for which he works on different ways to make films accessible to deaf people through subtitles and to blind people through audiodescription. |

DITA KRAUZE
Born in Riga, Latvia, Dita has studied Theory and Management of Culture in the Latvian Academy of Culture and History of Art in the University of León in Spain. She has worked and participated in various culture organisations, events and projects. Always keen on film, Dita has worked as a guide in the Riga Film Museum and her thesis was about the acknowledged film director Andrei Tarkovsky. |

JESUS MATEOS DE LA VARGA
Jesús was born in Madrid, 1982. After completing a degree in Media and Communications and several year's experience as an events producer, Jesús left Spain to pursue a career as a filmmaker in London. In 2009 he wrote and directed his first short film, began programming for film festivals and founded a film exhibition organisation, Land in Focus, combining his passion for cinema and his previous experience in events. Currently he is pursuing an MA in Film Curating through the London Consortium at the London Film School and working on the script of his second short film. |

PATRICIA PEREZ
Born in 1986, Patricia graduated in Journalism & Audiovisual Communication from the University Carlos III in Madrid, studying one year in England. Following her passion for film she moved to London to study a Masters in Film Studies in Kingston University and decided to stay. Since then she has worked as a journalist for the national Spanish newspaper El Mundo as well as in the Escena Turistica theatre company in Madrid. In 2011 she joined Tristana Media. |

PROFESSOR MARIA DELGADO
Professor of Theatre and Screen Arts at Queen Mary (University of London), Maria is also Programme Advisor to the London Film Festival and chairs the Board of the theatre company ATC. She has published works on theatre and film, which have been translated into several languages. Her film reviews have appeared in Sight and Sound and on BBC Radio's Night Waves, Front Row and the Film Programme. |

PROFESSOR PETER W. EVANS
Professor of Film Studies at Queen Mary, University of London, Peter has published several books on Spanish (for instance, on Bunuel, Almodovar and Bigas Luna), Hollywood, and British cinema, as well as articles on varied subjects such as Catherine Deneuve, Tango (Carlos Saura, 1998), and the films of Jose Luis Borau. His book on Top Hat (Sandrich, 1935) will be published in September 2010. |

PROFESSOR ISABEL SANTAOLALLA
Isabel is Professor of Spanish and Film Studies and Director of the Hispanic Research Centre at Roehampton University London. She has published on USA and European (especially Spanish) cinema. She has recently completed a book on Iciar Bollaín (Manchester University Press, Iberian and Latin American Filmmakers Series). She co-organised the 'Buñuel 2000' and 'Transnationalism in Iberian and Latin American Cinemas' conferences, and is involved with the 'FISahara' International Film Festival (Dakhla, Algeria) and the 'European Psychoanalytical Film Festival' (London). |
