Juan Diego Botto's debut feature film proves that he was doing much more during his long and intense career as an actor in film, TV and theatre. It is as well a necessary film that looks at the lives of a number of people living on the fringe of the big city that is Madrid. Through 24 hours we follow the lives of a few characters that are impacted by recession and the clamorous evictions that have been taking place in Spain during the last several years. Among this, in Botto's words, an exploration of the role that mothers play as providers of love and well-being within the family. A talented and experienced actor, Botto proves to be a great actors director too.
